DANBURY — City firefighters quickly put out a car fire near the Danbury Fair mall Friday morning, officials said.

Fire units were dispatched to a report of a possible car fire in front of the mall, according to a post from the fire department shortly before noon.

Photos from the scene show that the car on fire was near the multi-lane intersection near the Interstate 84 entrance and exit ramps.

Officials said responding units found a “well involved” car fire and “quickly extinguished the blaze.”

No injuries were reported, officials said.
