BETHEL — Dolan Nail Spa has donated well over 1,000 pieces of medical equipment to local first responders and health professionals.

At least 1,800 surgical and N95 masks, in addition to DuPont medical suits, were given to Danbury Hospital, the salon said on its Facebook page. Some masks were also delivered to Bethel police and fire departments.

This equipment has been in dire need across the country due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“We want you to know that even though we don’t see you in our shop each day, you are always in our thoughts,” Tiffany and Lucas, of Dolan Nail Spa, said in the Facebook post. “We wanted to help Bethel and it’s surrounding communities through this difficult time even if our humble effort isn’t much.”

The business has been closed since March 17, shutting down a few days before the governor closed hair and nail salons statewide.
