The basics of cooking \u2014 from knife skills to cream soups and poultry dishes \u2014 will be offered at Trackside Teen Center. Culinary 101 will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 4 to 6, and continue on Oct. 30, Nov. 6, and Nov. 13. The four-week introduction to culinary skills for students in grades 6-12 will be taught by Neena Perez, founder of \u201cThe Kiddie Kitchen.\u201d Participants will learn basic knife skills and safe handling techniques; how to make a variety of soups, bisques, and cream soups; how to prepare a variety of poultry dishes; and how to work with certain types of fish.
