The flu season is just beginning. The Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County Flu Shot Clinic is being held at Wilton Library on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The shots are available for anyone three years old and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Reservations are not needed; shots will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis with no appointments needed. The flu shot is $40 payable by cash or check. Medicare Part B, Anthem and Aetna are accepted as payment. Patrons are requested to wear sleeves that roll up easily and to bring their insurance cards. Pneumonia vaccine is available to persons age 65 or older who have never received this vaccine. The cost of the pneumonia vaccine is $80 and it is billable to Medicare Part B.
