Woodcock Nature Center will offer 10 Celebrate & Decorate nights as part of its Wreath Festival that begins next month.

These nights are for attendees 21 and over, Monday through Friday, from Nov. 27 to Dec. 8. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, Oct. 22, at noon and may be purchased at woodcocknaturecenter.org/wreathfestival.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own food and drink to enjoy while decorating their wreaths in the nature center or while relaxing near a roaring fire in the pavilion. Using an array of natural dried flowers, grasses, nuts, fruits, berries and cones, attendees will leave with a 22-inch balsam holiday wreath. The Wreath Festival raffle offers chances to win prizes such as exclusive nature center experiences, free summer camp weeks and more.

Attendees may purchase tickets for either the 6:30-8:15 p.m. or 8:30-10:15 p.m. decorating sessions. Those registered for the 6:30 session will decorate in the nature center first and then head to the pavilion for food and drink. Those registered for the 8:30 session will spend time in the pavilion first beginning at 7, then head to the nature center to decorate at 8:30. The pavilion opens at 7 and closes at 11 each night.

Advance tickets are required and do sell quickly. Tickets are $65 each and are non-refundable (a processing fee of $2.29 will be applied to each ticket). All proceeds from the event and raffle support Woodcock Nature Center’s programs in environmental education.

All ages are welcome at Woodcock’s Family Wreath Making Day on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 10 to 4. Families will use the same materials to create a 22-inch balsam holiday wreath.

No reservation or pre-purchase is required to attend this open house event. The cost to participate is $45 per wreath and includes all decorating materials. Hot cocoa and cookies are included. Large groups are encouraged to reserve in advance by calling 203-762-7280.
