Workshop helps women navigate divorce

Wilton-based Price Financial Group offers a divorce workshop for women on the second Saturday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 524 Pequot Avenue in Southport. The next one is July 12.

The “Fairfield County Second Saturday Divorce Workshop” is intended to help women work apart and together in ending their marriages in a less expensive and traumatic way. The program addresses the legal, financial, family and personal issues of divorce in a way that is designed to be logical, yet compassionate.  With the guidance of trained professionals, participants will gain greater understanding of the confusing divorce process in a way that can often save them tens of thousands of dollars while helping them avoid going to court.

According to a press release, the Fairfield County Second Saturday team said, “It is our hope that women go through the program and realize they’d prefer to work on their marriages, stay together, and keep their families intact. Regardless, Second Saturday provides a great opportunity for women to acquire non-biased, straightforward information and options to help them focus on what they need to do legally and financially through difficult times.  They can also save everyone a whole lot of time, grief and money.”

Advance reservations are required and registration begins at 8:15 am. There is a fee of $35 that is payable at the door.
