Wilton offers free e-waste recycling and hard drive collection

Wilton residents are invited to bring their electronic waste and hard drives to a free recycling and collection event on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at town hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Accepted electronics include computers, printers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, fax machines, VCR/DVD players, stereos, remotes, keyboards, small appliances, light bulbs, batteries and video games. Hard drives must be removed from computers and laptops before dropping them off.

The following items will not be accepted: smoke detectors, ballasts, car batteries, propane tanks, paint and household hazardous waste.
