Wilton Y class helps moms get back in the working world

New programs for mothers are on the agenda at the Wilton Family Y this year. To preview them, Hilary S. Berger, Ed.D. will host two informal open houses at the Y on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Members and non-members may drop in any time between 10 and noon or  7 and 8 p.m., and learn about upcoming classes being offered.

“Career development for mothers is a fluid, adaptable, ever-changing path through the entire life-cycle,” Dr. Berger said.

To help mothers reexamine their skills and realize their untapped potential she will offer a six-week series called “Career Issues For Stay At Home Moms… More Than Meets The Eye — A Fast Track to Reinvention” at the Y on consecutive Wednesdays from 10 to noon beginning Jan. 29 and concluding on March 5. The  fee is $225 for Y members and $325 for non-members. Seating for classes is limited and reservations with payment in advance are required.

Dr. Berger, is the founder of Work Like a Mother, a career counselor and board certified licensed professional mental health counselor.

Those planning to attend the open house are asked to RSVP via email to kmurphy@wiltonymca.org. For information, call Kim Murphy at 203-762-8384 ext. 214.
