A ribbon-cutting to open the demonstration section of the Wilton Loop of the Norwalk River Valley Trail takes place at 9, with a celebration continuing until noon. It’s on Route 7, across from Wolfpit Road.

Wilton Library opens its Gigantic Book Sale today. The Rotary Club will be selling hot dogs and sodas at lunchtime.

The Wilton Family Y’s trout fishing derby is from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. And, it’s also Healthy Kids Day at the Y from noon to 3.

The Democratic Town Committee breakfast starts at 9 at Trackside.

A new show opens at browngrotta arts from 1 to 6 at 276 Ridgefield Road.
