Sunday: Guided walk in Wilton’s Sackett Preserve

The Wilton Conservation Commission and Wilton Garden Club Conservation Committee will sponsor a Walk in the Park on Sunday, Sept. 27, when Donna Merrill will guide visitors through Sackett Preserve. The walk will begin at 1, and last about an hour.  All in the community are welcome including dogs on leashes, and there will be refreshments afterward when folks may chat with their neighbors and ask questions that may not have been answered during the walk.
The entrance to Sackett Preserve is on Ridgefield Road (Route 33), just south of the intersection with Deforest Road. The 33-acre property offers a view of the wetland valley and adjacent Marble/Van Haelewyn Preserve. The trails of both properties connect, offering a loop of the Huckleberry Hills wetland valley.
The walk is free and an RSVP is a good idea in case there are any changes. Call Jackie Algon at 203-210-5240.
