It can be enormously challenging to care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias and caregivers frequently experience stress, isolation and depression. Wilton’s Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will present a workshop called Stress Reduction for Caregivers for those caring for a loved one with memory-impairment on Tuesday, June 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The workshop will be held at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County at the Health and Wellness Center of Norwalk Hospital at 761 Main Avenue (Route 7) on the Norwalk/Wilton town line.

The workshop will be presented by Reverend Karen Judd, an ordained interfaith minister with the nursing agency.

“In this workshop we will discuss the importance of expressing feelings in a constructive way, connecting with others, and identifying and managing the  symptoms of stress,” she said.

Rev. Judd will also show stress reduction techniques, including meditation.

The workshop is free but space is limited and registration is required. Call 203-762-8958.
