A Basic Emergency Medical Technician course will take place at Danbury Hospital starting Tuesday, Sept. 10, in John C. Creasy Center for Health Education Auditorium.

The three-month course meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 11 p.m., some Wednesdays also from 7 to 11 p.m. and occasional Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Upon completion of the EMT-basic course students will be qualified to take the National Registry exams to receive a Connecticut and National EMT-B certification.

Emergency training resources far exceeds the requirements for state and national EMS programs, providing more hands-on experience and follow-up with real world practice in the emergency department and on the ambulance.

The fee of $795 and includes course materials.
