The Amazing Race to Find a Cure will host a gingerbread-making event to raise money for Mass General Hospital's Lung Cancer Research Fund. Guests are invited to make a gingerbread house while enjoying hot cocoa and cookies on Monday, Dec. 11, from 6:30 to 9, at Comstock Community Center.

The suggested donation of $25 includes one house-making kit, hot cocoa and cookies. Register by Tuesday, Dec. 5, at  www.amazingraceforacure.com.

The Amazing Race for a Cure was founded in 2015 by teenager Devyn Casey following the 2013 death of her grandfather from lung cancer. Her goal was to raise $400 through a scavenger hunt for the hospital and lung cancer awareness. To date, the Amazing Race for a Cure has raised $27,000 for the hospital’s Lung Cancer Research Fund.
