The ‘Georgetown Gallop’ 5K Road Race will kick off the 13th annual Georgetown Day celebration on Sunday, June 9, along Main Street in Georgetown.

Check in starts at 10:15 a.m. outside of Mini Vinny’s Delicatessen, on the corner of Route 57 and 107. The timed, mostly flat 3.1-mile race will begin at 11. Prizes by age group will be awarded.

The ‘Gallop’ is followed by the ‘Pony Express’ kids’ fun run. The 5K entry fee is $20 for adults and $10 for 12 and under. The Kids K is $10, which includes a participation medal.

Georgetown Day is a street festival with live music, international cuisine, a highly-competitive chili cook-off, a beer tent, a hot dog eating competition, a dunk booth, kids’ activities, and artisans and vendors.
