Blue Zone walk on Norwalk River Valley Trail
Friends of the Norwalk River Valley Trail and members of the Blue Zone Wilton exploration team invite the community to a walk and talk Sunday, Jan. 13, 3 p.m., along the trail. Participants will meet at the commuter lot on Danbury Road at Wolfpit Road for the first “Walk and Talk Moai.”
According to a press release, the word moai comes from Blue Zone Okinawa, Japan, and means “meeting for a common purpose.” Norwalk River Valley Trail Executive Director Charlie Taney will lead a discussion of the trail and Blue Zone project, which is a community-wide, well-being improvement initiative established in 42 communities across the country.
The program is expected to last about an hour, but everyone is welcome to opt in and out as they prefer.
