Adults who wish to try their hand at painting may do so in a convivial atmosphere at Masters and Mixers, where participants may bring their own beverages to class at the Georgetown School of the Arts.

The next two events are Thursday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 5, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 to allow time for everyone to get settled.

The program will continue on the first Thursday and Saturday in November. The full schedule may be viewed at georgetownarts.com.

At Masters and Mixers, participants are provided with painting supplies, a canvas, easel and apron. Instructors guide painters through the steps and offer encouragement to create a personal work of art inspired by a featured painting. Painters bring their own beverage and snacks of their choice.

At the end of the evening participants will bring home a finished painting that is their own  expression. The cost is $35 and advance reservations are required. Information/registration:  georgetownarts.com or 203-544-8551.

Private painting parties and children’s parties may be arranged.

Georgetown School of the Arts is at 25 Old Mill Road, West Redding.
