The Adult Choir of Our Lady of Fatima Church will present its annual Advent Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15. The concert will take place at the chapel of the motherhouse of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, 345 Belden Hill Road.

The event is a one-hour, family-friendly musical offering and includes the OLF Children’s Choir, directed by Betsy McGowan.

After a traditional processional of O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, the choirs will perform selected sacred choral favorites, accompanied by Music Director Clay Zambo and guest keyboardist Scott Ethier from New York City.

The choirs will join for the main piece, an Advent cantata called The Heart of Christmas, by Pepper Choplin. It is a 40-minute work that musically interprets the passion of those who lived the Nativity story.

Father Reginald Norman, new pastor at Our Lady of Fatima, will narrate the text between the vocal selections, and Mary Bozzuti Higgins, choir director, will conduct the afternoon.

The concert will include congregational participation and there is no charge to attend. All in the community are welcome.
