Here are the top performers for high school girls soccer from Week 4


Megan Gallagher, Mercy: Her hat trick helped Mercy shut out Lauralton Hall 5-0.

Tu-Lanh Criscuolo, Haddam-Killingworth: Had three goals in the Cougars’ 5-1 victory over Westbrook.

Emily Pycela, East Haven: Scored four goals in East Haven’s 5-1 win over Law.

Zoey Wood, Notre Dame-Fairfield: Her five goals in the 5-0 win over Barlow broke the single-game socring record for the Lancers set by Toni Domingos last season. Three days later, Wood had a hat trick against Masuk, a 7-0 win for Notre Dame.

Katherine Van Tassel and Charlotte Buterbaugh, Wilbur Cross: Van Tassel had three goals and two assists and Buterbaugh assisted on six goals in the Governors’ 10-0 win over Career/Hillhouse.


St. Joseph at Staples, Thursday, 4 p.m.: St. Joseph’s toughest challenges in the FCIAC regular season begin here.

Cromwell at Portland, Thursday, 6 p.m.: Cromwell remained unbeaten after its scoreless tie against Morgan on Monday. Portland had a quality non-confrence victory over Suffield last week.

Ridgefeld at St. Joseph, Monday, 4 p.m.: Last time these two rivals squared off was in the 2019 Class LL state quarterfinals, won by Ridgefield. St. Joseph has allowed just one goal in its first 11 games.

Sacred Heart Academy at Guilford (Bittner Park), Monday, 6 p.m.: Sacred Heart Academy is the last remaining unbeaten in the SCC. The Sharks already own a 1-0 win over Guilford.
