First Team

Player of the Year

Gaby Gonzalez

Staples, Sr., D

Stats: Center back led a defense that posted 17 shutouts, including in both the FCIAC tournament final and Class LL state tournament final, both resulting in titles for the Wreckers. Finished her career with 30 goals and 17 assists.
Honors: Three-time All-FCIAC First Team pick, Two-time All-New England and coaches all-state selection. Named All-American and chosen to play in the 2021 High School All-American Game in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Off the field: Member of the National Honor Society . A 2021 Scholar Athlete. Community volunteer at the Caroline House of Bridgeport and a member of the Amnesty International Club.
Up next: Will play soccer at Cornell next season.

Erynn Floyd

Wilton, Sr., GK

Stats: Posted 16 shutouts, including one in the CIAC Class LL state championship final, helping Wilton earn a co-state championship. Allowed just seven goals. Has 39 career shutouts.
Honors: All-American, Two-time All-New England, three-time All-FCIAC and coaches all-state selection. MVP of the Class LL state championship game against Staples.
Off the field: High honor roll student, member of the National Honor Society, co-vice president of the American Cancer Society, leader of Top Inclusion Models, Safe Rides Driver and also volunteers for the Top Soccer Club, which helps children with disabilities play the sport.
Up next: Will play soccer at Louisville next season.

Melina Ford

Mercy, Jr., GK

Stats: Finished with 15 shutouts, including one in the CIAC Class M state championship final, helping the Tigers earn a co-championship. Also had key save of a penalty kick in the SCC tournament final against Amity. Has 35 career shutouts.
Honors: All-American, Two-time All-New England, All-Area, All-SCC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the field: Also plays basketball. A school ambassador.

Sophia Haussmann

Glastonbury, Sr., M/D

Stats: Helped lead Glastonbury to the CCC regular-season championship. Started on the 2019 Class LL state championship team.
Honors: All-CCC and coaches all-state selection.
Up next: Will play soccer at UConn next season.

Meredith Healy

East Lyme, Sr., F

Stats: Finished with 24 goals and 16 assists for the ECC Division I tournament champion. Finished career with 59 goals and 40 assists. Healy helped lead the Vikings to the Class L state championship final.
Honors: All-New England pick. Three-time All-ECC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the field: Three-time Spanish Award recipient.
Up next: Will play soccer at Springfield next fall.

Diana Jedrychowski

Farmington, Sr., M

Stats: Helped lead Farmington to a berth in the Class LL quarterfinals. Finished with eight goals. First year with the program, moving over from Oakwood Academy.
Honors: All-New England, All-CCC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the field: First honors student every quarter, recipient of the Council of Language Teachers (COLT) Award for Excellence, Girls Academy League Team Representative, member of Peer Leaders and Student Ambassadors at FHS, plays the cello in the orchestra and also an all-academic team member for both indoor track and soccer. 
Up next: Has verbally committed to play at UMass-Lowell next season.

Sophia Lowenberg

Trumbull, Sr., M

Stats: Finished with eight goals and 10 assists in 11 games for the Eagles. Finished career with 33 goals and 56 assists. Led Trumbull to 2020 FCIAC East Region Co-Championship, the first championship for the program since 2006.
Honors: Four-time All-FCIAC selection. Two-time coaches all-state pick. Invited to play in the 2021 High School All American Game in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Off the field: Participated in the Walk to End Alzheimers. A second degree black belt in Mixed Martial Arts and also a volunteer instructor in Mixed Martial Arts.
Up next: Will play soccer at Boston College next season.

Mary Lundregan

St. Joseph, Sr., M

Stats: Finished with 15 goals and 15 assists for the Class L state champion. Finished career with 49 goals and 44 assists.
Honors: Two-time All-American and All-New England pick. Three-time All-FCIAC and coaches all-state selection. Invited to play in the 2021 All-American Game in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Off the field: Member of the National Honor Society. 
Up next: Will play soccer at Dartmouth next season.

Audrey Marin

Amity, Sr., F

Stats: Finished with 15 goals and 11 assists for the SCC tournament finalists. Finished career with 56 goals and 47 assists.
Honors: Three-time GameTimeCT all-state selection and SCC Player of the Year (SCC Division C Player of the Year as a junior) and New Haven Register Area MVP. Two-time All-New England pick, four-time All-Area All-SCC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the field: Student government president, editor of the school newspaper and member of the National Honor Society.
Up next: Will play soccer at Dartmouth next season.

St. Joseph, Fr., F

Stats: Had 26 goals and 11 assists for the Cadets, the Class L state champions. 
Honors: All-New England, All-FCIAC and coaches all-state selection.

Riley Powers

Newtown, Jr., M/F

Stats: Finished with 14 goals and 10 assists for the Nighthawks. Has 31 goals overall.
Honors: All-New England, All-SWC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the field: Volunteers for FUN (Families United in Newtown), a community organization that helps support families with special needs in Newtown, and Great Strides, which raises money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Up next: Has verbally committed to play at Central Connecticut State.

Notre Dame-Fairfield, Sr., F/D

Stats: Moved up from defense to fill a scoring need and Wood delivered with 28 goals and five assists. Scored five goals in a game against Barlow.
Honors: Voted top player in the SWC. All-New England, two-time All-SWC and coaches all-state selection.
Off the field: Member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Distinguished Scholars Program, High Honors Student and Campus Ministry (community service club).
