Class LL

-- SMSA's Danny Hernandez has often posted eye-popping numbers; his rushing and passing totals add up to nearly 3,000 yards. Since wins over Granby/Canton (21-14) and Rockville (7-6) in the first two weeks, none of the Tigercats' games has been closer than 22 points.

Class M

-- Rockville returns to the playoffs for the fourth-consecutive season under coach Erick Knickerbocker, having climbed a run of the ladder each year and reaching last year's Class M final. 

-- ATI, led by Justyn Defonce, won eight-consecutive games before losing to NW United in the finale. 

No. 3 LAW 42, No. 6 RHAM 13

-- Law scores in just over 1 minute to start the 3rd on a Matt Hagerty 6 yd td run (Viens xp good) to take a 42-7 lead on RHAM

-- Cole Brisson runs in following a Ledyard fumble to make it 37-26 Cromwell with 6 minutes remaining

-- Alex Hair scores again to bring the score to 26-23 Ledyard with 2 minutes left in third 

-- Lenz with a fantastic catch and run for a TD. Ledyard up 26-17 

-- Emeka Yearwood takes the kickoff to the house to make the score 20-17 Ledyard 

-- Jacob Lenz opens the half with a long TD run. Ledyard 20 Cromwell 10

-- 7:40 left in 2nd: Ledyard 12 Cromwell 10

-- Alex Hair gets in from the 5 yard line to make it 10-6 Cromwell with 8 minutes left in the half

-- Allen Cohen hits a field goal to make it 3-0 Cromwell/Portland 6 minutes into the game

-- Barlow is making its third state playoff appearance over the last nine years. 

-- Granby/Canton, led by Luke Maher at LB/RB who has amassed 1,196 all-purpose yards, is making its fourth playoff appearance, including three-straight as a co-op. 


-- Foran gets on the board in 3rd q. Blocked punt, Joe Gaetano, who did play in the band at halftime, short return for the TD. 13-7 Valley.

-- Andrew Yermenson intercepts Foran QB Jack Cushman on the goal line just before halftime. Valley Regional leads Foran 13-0 at halftime of this Class SS quarterfinal.

-- Jacob Rand reverses field for the 26 yard TD for Valley, which misses PAT. 13-0 over Foran 410 left before half. If you listen closely, side official nicely told me as he was running down to the goal line that I was in the way.

-- Foran's making its first state playoff appearance in 20 years and first under coach Tom Drew.

-- Windham, led by a triple threat in QB Zack Robinson-Smey (16 TDs), RB Victor Mejia (1,439 all-purpose yards, 19 TDs) and the Mangual cousins, is having its finest season under coach Randell Prose, only losing to Ledyard in OT after a 7-0 start.
