Mateo Cano, Norwalk: Cano was named the MVP of the FCIAC final not just for his beautiful assist on the only gol of the game but also his control of the ball for much of the game as Norwalk beat Greenwich 1-0 for the FCIAC title.
Max Weiss, Weston: Weiss was named the MVP of the final with a goal and an assist as the Trojans defeated Barlow in SWC final 2-0.
Sam Montalto, Stonington: The senior scored 5 goals in last week’s ECC tournament. He had 3 goals and an assist against Fitch and 2 goals in a 5-2 win against Ledyard in the finals. He now has 97 career goals heading into the state tournament.
Ryan Gerry, Xavier: Gerry crossed the ball into the box to Finn Russell who scored the game-winning goal in the SCC Championship game against Cheshire with 16.3 seconds left in overtime.
Patrick Osiecki, Holy Cross: Osiecki scored two goals in regulation and converted a penalty kick after overtime as Holy Cross won the NVL title 4-3 over Watertown.
Erik Barrera, Morgan: Barrera broke a scoreless tie with 7:42 left in the Shoreline Conference Championship game.
Bradley Kulmann, Old Saybrook: Less than two minutes after Barrera scored, Kulmann answered for Old Saybrook on a rebound with 6:06 left, tying the championship game which would end 1-1.
Isaac Dumeny, Greenwich: Dumeny registered a hat trick in Greenwich’s 5-1 FCIAC semifinal win over Ridgefield.
