Tournament Schedule / Outlook
Semifinal, Friday, March 3: Eastern Connecticut Eagles 7, Tri-Town 1 (at Enfield Twin Rink)
Championship, Saturday, March 4: Woodstock Academy 5, East Connecticut Eagles 1
DEFENDING CHAMPION — Eastern Connecticut Eagles
TOP PLAYERS — Cam McCollum, Eastern CT, Sr. G; Kyle Provencher, Tri-Town, Sr. F; Noah Sampson, Woodstock Academy, Jr. F
FAVORITE — Woodstock Academy
OUTLOOK — Woodstock is 13-1 in state (North Haven, ranked No. 8 in the GameTimeCT Top 10) and only two of those 13 wins were as close as two goals. Tri-Town went 7-2-1 through the middle of the season to finish over .500. The Eastern Connecticut Eagles co-op had to opt out of the CIAC tournament, with too many skaters for CIAC rules but not enough goalies to split the program, so this is all the co-op’s got.
FORNABAIO’S PICK — Woodstock Academy over Eastern Connecticut
