These restaurants are offering Mother’s Day brunch and dinner options in CT

The mothers in your life deserve a special day, and these Connecticut restaurants are rolling out memorable Mother's Day menus for brunch and dinner. All events are on May 9 unless otherwise specified.

Bernard’s in Ridgefield hosts both brunch and dinner. A $70 prix-fixe brunch menu is available between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., with entrees like eggs Benedict, roasted sirloin with organic egg, lobster fricassee with green pea ravioli, sauteed filet of bronzini, French-cut breast of chicken or beef Wellington (for an upcharge.) Dinner, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m., features a $125 prix-fixe menu with entrees like bronzini, roasted pork chop, roasted half-chicken or beef Wellington. Artisan Restaurant in Southport offers a special Mother's Day menu from noon to 7 p.m., with entree options like spring risotto primavera, Maine lobster fra diavolo, halibut crusted with Jasper Hill's Whitney cheese, local sea scallops, Scottish salmon a la plancha, Amish chicken breast, crispy duck breast and filet mignon. Cost is $85 per person; $45 for young adults 12 and under. 203-307-4222.

The Cottage in Westport serves a special Mother’s Day meal from noon to 7 p.m., with a prix-fixe menu ($85 per guest; $45 per child under 12). Main course selections include king salmon in cedar paper, Rhode Island black bass, spring vegetable farrotto and Painted Hills beef tenderloin. 203-557-3701.

The Cottage's Greenwich location also hosts Mother's Day from noon to 6 p.m., with entree options of king salmon, Maine halibut, beef tenderloin or spring vegetable farrotto. Cost is $85 per person; $45 for children under 12. 203-769-1220.

L'escale in Greenwich offers a three-course prix-fixe menu from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., for $95 per person. The menu will be posted at lescalerestaurant.com. 203-661-4600.

Riverview Bistro in Stratford hosts a Mother's Day brunch buffet with seatings between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The menu features a breakfast station, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, raw bar items, hot entrees, a carving station with prime rib and roasted pork loin, desserts and unlimited mimosas. Cost is $45.95 for adults, $19.95 for kids ages 5 to 12. 203-690-1616.

The Capital Grille, with locations in Hartford and Stamford, will open early on Mother's Day and serve its full menu, plus brunch specials from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Specials include lobster frittata with butter-poached lobster tails, truffle Hollandaise, asparagus and white cheddar hash browns, along with two steak dishes: 14-ounce bone-in, dry-aged NY strip and eggs, and eight-ounce center cut filet mignon. 860-244-0075 (Hartford); 203-967-0000 (Stamford).

Rive Bistro in Westport serves its Mother's Day menu from noon to 6 p.m., with entrees like grilled salmon, duck breast a l'orange, filet mignon rossini, branzino a la plancha and rigatoni with vegetable ragout. Cost is $68 per person, $30 for kids. 203-557-8049.

Barcelona Wine Bar offers Mother's Day specials in addition to its regular brunch menus at its locations in Fairfield, Norwalk, Stamford, New Haven and West Hartford

Madison Beach Hotel's The Wharf restaurant serves Mother's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a soup station, raw bar items, carving and omelet stations, assorted salads, hot breakfast and lunch entrees and a selection of desserts. Cost is $97 for adults, $45 for children ages 6 to 12, free for kids 5 and under. Advanced reservations are required, with pre-payment. 203-350-0014.

Hilton Mystic hosts Mother's Day brunch with seatings at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with buffet stations featuring breakfast items, soups, frittatas, salads, carved baked glazed ham and herb crusted sirloin, hot entrees and desserts. Each Mom will receive a small gift to take home. Cost is $76, all inclusive; children under 5 are free. Tickets are available online at Eventbrite.

Stone Acres Farm in Stonington hosts Mother's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a three-course menu and bubbly. Cost is $59 for adults, $20 for children. Reserve online at Resy.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in West Hartford offers a three-course menu on May 7 and 8, with choice of salad, entree and dessert. Entree options include petite filet mignon with crab-stuffed shrimp scampi ($90) or lobster tail scampi ($100.) 

Millwright's Restaurant in Simsbury offers a special Mother's Day three-course prix-fixe menu. Entree choices include ham with onion and Gruyere crepe, crab and lobster cake Benedict, Painted Hills NY strip, spring lamb duo, mahi mahi with lemon coconut brodo, ricotta gnocchi and mushroom "fettuccine." Grano Arso in Chester offers Mother's Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a four-course menu featuring choice of appetizer, pasta and entree. Main course options include tender chuck roast of beef, Arctic char or polenta torta. Cost is $68 per person. 860-322-3143.

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill in New Haven will be open on Mother’s Day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering specials in addition to its a la carte menu. Specials include crabmeat asparagus avocado toast, squid ink fettuccini with lobster bolognese sauce and spring vegetables and red snapper with baby clams, Merguez sausage and Romesco broth. Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook hosts Mother's Day brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with breakfast items, waffle and omelet stations, seafood and charcuterie selections, salads, a carving station with prime rib, ham and turkey breast; pastas and hot entrees. Water's Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook hosts Mother's Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with roasts carved to order, fresh pastas, omelets prepared to order, a Belgian waffle and crepe bar, hot and cold breakfast items, hot entrees and desserts. Pond House Cafe in West Hartford hosts Mother's Day brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with breakfast and savory items. A carving station offers beef tenderloin, rosemary peach glazed turkey breast, herb roasted leg of lamb, seared ahi tuna and porchetta, and another station features waffles and French toast. Egg dishes include assorted Benedicts and omelets, and savory dishes include pulled pork and black bean burritos, beet cured salmon, chicken and waffles, cod cakes and sweet potato falafel.
