Connecticut Light & Power hopes to have about 87 customers back on line with power by early this afternoon. The outages are the result of two separate issues. Around 6:30 this morning a tree came down, taking wires and a pole with it, and shutting down the intersection of Cobbs Mill Road and Cedar Road. Thirty-five customers are still affected and the utility estimates power restoration by 1:30. The remaining customers are out in the New Canaan Road area near Gilbert's Corners, a CL&P spokesman said. In that event, a tree hit a line and power should be restored around 1 this afternoon.
