Wilton Bank executive elected home builders association's president

Maureen Hanley Bellitto, senior vice president of the Fairfield County Region for TD Bank in Wilton, has been sworn in as the new Fairfield County Home Builders & Remodelers Association president. She is only the third woman to serve as president in the trade association’s 50-year history.

Before becoming the president, Ms. Hanley Bellitto served as the association’s senior vice president, treasurer and HBRA board member for 10 years. She was recognized as Fairfield County HBRA 2013 Volunteer of the Year and 2010 Associate of the Year.

Ms. Hanley Bellitto began her banking career in 1994 as a real estate closer with Ridgefield Bank (now Fairfield County Bank). She went on to become the youngest female vice president of commercial lending in the bank’s 125-year history.

In 1995, she established an Indirect Dealer Lending Program and joined the Commercial Lending Group. During her 13-year tenure, she rose through the ranks to secretary, assistant vice president, vice president, senior lending officer, team leader and in 2005, she was named vice president, manager of construction lending, and the manager of the bank’s real estate investment subsidiary.

Ms. Hanley Bellitto joined Commerce Bank, presently known as TD Bank, in 2006 and established a commercial real estate lending department for the Connecticut region.

She lives in Fairfield with husband, Robert B. Bellitto Jr., an attorney and a Board of Finance member, and three children, Bridget, R.J and Kathryn.
