What’s open, closed this Christmas?


Christmas Eve is Thursday, Dec. 24, which is not a federal holiday. Christmas Day is Friday, Dec. 25, which is a federal holiday.

Wilton town offices will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Wilton Public Schools will be closed Christmas Eve until Friday, Jan. 1, with a shortened day on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Wilton Transfer Station will close early at 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed until Monday, Dec. 28.

Wilton Library will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Wilton Historical Society will be closed Christmas Day.

Wilton Senior Center will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Wilton Transfer Station will be closed Christmas Day.

Post offices will be closed Christmas Day.

Banks will be closed Christmas Day.

Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Christmas Day and reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26.

Metro-North will have early getaway service on Christmas Eve, with more cars on trains at key travel times and 18 additional early getaway trains departing Grand Central between noon and 4:10. On Christmas Day, there will be hourly service on all lines.

Many stores and services, such as pharmacies, will have limited hours on Christmas Eve, with most closed on Christmas Day.

The Bulletin will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
