Skidmore named Woman of the Year

Wiltonian Deana Skidmore is the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW)’s 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle.
Skidmore was inducted for her leadership in healthcare. She is the assistant director of nursing at Wilton Meadows, a 148-bed heathcare center specializing in rehabilitation.
According to a press release, the NAPW’s mission is “to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve.”
The president of the NAPW, Star Jones, a former host of The View on ABC, said Skidmore’s “perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
Skidmore has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fairfield University.
