The Paragon Realty Group officially took over two leases of Wilton Center Town Green buildings at last week’s Board of Selectmen meeting.
The Town Green buildings include businesses like Café Ruche in Wilton Center.
Boylston Properties, which previously leased the property from the town of Wilton, has been focusing on real estate in the Massachusetts area and can no longer concentrate on Wilton Center, First Selectman Bill Brennan said Monday, April 6.
John Nelson, founder of Paragon, told the selectmen he welcomes the opportunity to work in Wilton, as his company has been focused on properties closer to its Westport office.
“Even with a little traffic it’s just a 12-minute drive to our office,” he said.
All the selectmen but Jim Saxe voted in favor.
Saxe said he abstained from the vote because he had not received enough information about the deal before the meeting to make a decision.
