JoyRide hosts Spinraiser for ABC, Nov. 6

JoyRide Wilton, the town’s first dedicated indoor cycling studio, will host a Spinraiser in support of A Better Chance (ABC) of Wilton on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m.

“We are delighted to donate our studio to raise funds for ABC of Wilton,” said Amy Pal, owner of JoyRide Wilton and co-owner of JoyRide Ridgefield.

“Our goal is to provide an interactive and family-friendly format for fundraising and we’re honored that we can contribute to this important local organization and special evening.”

The 50-minute class, taught by instructor Jaime Falco, will feature music selected by ABC of Wilton’s senior scholars. All funds raised that night will go to ABC of Wilton.

“ABC Wilton provides deserving students with ‘a better chance' by placing them in an environment that encourages academic excellence, improves their college acceptance chances, and lays the foundation for an improved future – for our scholars, our community and our country,” said Peter Kirch, ABC board member and avid JoyRider. “This isn’t just a Spinraiser, it’s a community event.”

Pal said a big part of JoyRide’s mission is community involvement and charity work. In Wilton, Pal said, JoyRide has already held Spinraisers for Animals in Distress, the Wilton Woman’s Club and Wilton Police Department.

During the Nov. 6 event, all riders will receive a special edition Wilton Warrior A Better Chance/JoyRide T-Shirt. Water, wine or beer will also be served in the JoyLounge post-ride, compliments of 'R' wine and Marly's Bar & Bistro.

The minimum donation is $50 per bike and can be booked in advance at or by calling 203-529-5091.

Bring cash or check the evening of the event.
