Benjamin Powers, the headmaster of Eagle Hill School in Southport, stopped by the HAN Network studios on Tuesday to talk about his private school in Connecticut.
Powers was on during Coffee Break, HAN's daily show that features the latest news from southwestern Connecticut, along with sports, weather, traffic and entertainment and features.

Located in the historic Southport village, Eagle Hill is in the former Pequot School Building on a two-acre campus. It currently has 101 students, from 6 to 14 years old. Last school year, for example, the school had 72 boys and 29 girls.
There are currently 24 teachers, six administrators and nine other staff members. The student-to-faculty ratio is 4:1.
Students have the opportunity to play sports such as soccer, cross country, basketball, softball, baseball, or cheerleading. During classes the dress code is a coat and tie for boys and uniform skirt for girls.
Over the years, the school has served students from 45 communities. Students currently come from 22 communities in southwestern Connecticut — with the largest representations from Darien, Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Weston, Westport, and Wilton.
