Bankwell sponsors Halloween Hustle

The Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s 11th annual Halloween Hustle 5K + Scarecrow Scamper Kids’ Run is returning to Wilton Center on Sunday, Oct. 27, sponsored by Bankwell.

“We are very pleased to be supporting the Wilton chamber and community, and look forward to getting to know the residents and business owners over the coming months,” said Bankwell President Heidi DeWyngaert. Incoming chamber President Tierney O’Hearn added, “We are grateful to Bankwell for their commitment to our chamber and the Wilton community. We look forward to welcoming Bankwell into our dynamic and vibrant town and working with them in the future.”

Halloween Hustle 5K check-in begins at 9 a.m., at the Wilton Chamber of Commerce office, 120 Old Ridgefield Road. The race will begin at 10. Hustle entry fee, which includes a special commemorative long-sleeved T-shirt to all pre-registered runners who sign up before Oct. 18, is $25 for adults, $10 for youths. The course for the 5K starts in Wilton Center, runs up Old Ridgefield Road to Lovers Lane, through the Merwin Meadows trail and the school complex, with a turnaround at the Wilton High School field house. The race ends at the Merwin Meadows pavilion.

The Scarecrow Scamper Kids’ Fun Run begins directly after the Halloween Hustle at the Merwin Meadows pavilion. The kids’ run loops around the soccer field and returns back to the pavilion. The entry fee is $10, which includes a medal for all paticipants.

Scarecrow Fest

The third annual Scarecrow Fest in Wilton Center begins on Oct. 18 and lasts through Nov. 1.

The chamber’s Annual Pumpkin Parade + Trick-or-Treating is slated for Saturday, Oct. 26, from 2 to 4, in Wilton Center. The chamber will hand out trick-or-treat bags to the first 200 children in the parade.
