Artist Bob Gresl of Wilton recently presented this pen and ink drawing of the Hurlbutt Street Schoolhouse to the schoolhouse committee. It will hang in the classroom, the committee said. Mr. Gresl has taught sketching at Norwalk Community College for more than 10 years, and taught at the Wilton Senior Center this spring. The schoolhouse, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, has been open this fall for the second grade classes of Wilton to experience what school was like for children in the early 20th Century.
