It’s not too late to get flu vaccine

Flu season is in full swing and if you haven’t gotten a flu shot yet, it is not too late to be vaccinated. Wilton’s Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County has an ample supply of flu  vaccine available for anyone three years of age or older, reports the nonprofit community agency.

The pneumonia vaccine is also available for adults age 65 or older who have never previously received the pneumonia vaccine.

Flu and pneumonia vaccines are available by appointment at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County at the Health and Wellness Center of Norwalk Hospital at I-Park, at 761 Main Avenue (Route 7), on the Wilton/Norwalk town line.

The cost of a flu shot is $38, and $80 for the pneumonia vaccine.  Cash, check, Medicare Part B and Anthem and Aetna are accepted.

For more information, or an appointment, call Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County at 203-762-8958.
