Running strong

The Norwalk River is running well above average after Friday’s storm. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, in south Wilton the river was discharging 800 cubic feet per second Friday, well above the median of about 50. It was about three and a half feet deep. On Saturday, when this photo was taken, depth had fallen to about three feet and discharge was still well above average. — Jeannette Ross photo
