The Wilton High gymnastics team scored 132.075 at Saturday’s State Open at Pomperaug High School, placing fourth overall in the state.
It was the final meet of the season as a team, although junior Jess Olin qualified for New Englands in the all-around by placing in the top six individually.
Greenwich won the State Open title with a score of 143.525, followed by Woodstock Academy (138.425), Trumbull (136.775) and Wilton.
Olin had a of 36.075 to place fourth in the all-around. It was the best effort for a Wilton gymnast since Chelsea Levander finished second in the all-around at the 2012 State Open.
Olin was also third on floor (9.4), sixth on bars (8.75), sixth on vault (9.1) and eighth on beam (8.825). She was first-team all-state in all four events
Also earning first-team all-state honors was freshman Lilly Byrnes, who was eighth on floor with a 9.1
Brooke Taffler was second-team all-state on both bars (24th, 8.0) and vault (29th, 8.575).
Byrnes also was second-team all-state on beam (34th, 7.7), and scored 7.95 on vault, good enough for 45th place.
Carter Siegel earned second-team all-state on both vault (39th, 8.25) and beam (40th, 7.325).
Sam Huffman tied for 30th on bars (7.85) to make second-team all-state. She was also 41st on floor (7.7).
