Letter: Wilton Garden Club invites new members

To the Editors:

Join with a friend or come on your own, you are sure to meet plenty of like-minded garden enthusiasts. The Wilton Garden Club beautifies our town, supports conservation efforts, works with seniors and youth gardeners, organizes educational events, provides scholarships, and is involved in a host of other philanthropic activities. You will love the Wilton Garden Club if:

You are an excellent gardener — You’ll love meeting other experts and sharing your knowledge with like-minded members. Participate or spearhead activities devoted to conservation, floral design, plant propagation, or senior and youth gardening. You can compete in flower shows and put your expertise to use at our annual plant sale.

You are an awful gardener — Come learn how to not kill every plant! We host horticultural workshops in our greenhouse and excellent floral design classes for our members at all levels of expertise. We also host a dynamic speaker program for members at our monthly meetings. The diverse mixture of women and men who comprise our membership have a vast accumulation of knowledge that they’re willing to share.

Gardens bring people together. Join us, and you’ll have a whole club of new friends bound together by a love of gardens. You are cordially invited to our Feb. 12 and/or March 12 meeting at 10:30 a.m. at the Wilton Congregational Church.

Please register with Sharon Frost at [email protected]. Any questions, email Haiku Durden at [email protected]. More information is on wiltongardenclub.org and on our Facebook page.
