Failure to appear
Rusty L. McClintock, 55, of Wilton, was arrested at his Nod Hill Road home on Tuesday, Jan. 8, on a failure to appear warrant issued out of Ridgefield for evading. Wilton police arrested McClintock while responding to a 911 hangup call at his residence. He was transported to Wilton police headquarters for processing and charged with second-degree failure to appear. McClintock was held on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 9.
Wilton police are investigating the theft of two checks from a Canterbury Lane mailbox that were “subsequently endorsed and cashed by unknown individuals,” according Capt. Robert Cipolla. The incident was reported on Saturday, Jan. 12.
Police are also investigating a reported theft from a safe at a Pine Ridge Road residence. The report was made Monday, Jan. 14. Police are unable to disclose the amount of money reported stolen due to the ongoing investigation.
The Wilton Police Department responded to one verbal domestic dispute between Jan. 8 and Jan. 14.
