Gymnastics: Wilton takes fourth at FCIACs

Jess Olin earned first-team all-FCIAC honors on three events to lead the Wilton High gymnastics team at Saturday’s FCIAC championships at Westhill High School.

The Warriors went into the meet seeded fourth and that’s where they finished, with a 134.1 score that was a two hundredths of a point above their season average going into the day.

Greenwich won title for the third straight year, just edging out Trumbull, 144 to 143.65. Fairfield Ludlowe was third with a 136.6.

Olin was second on vault, fourth on bars and third on floor, and tied for sixth in the all-around with a 35.35.

Lilly Byrnes (seventh on floor), Kate Ginsburg (seventh on beam), Brooke Taffler (eighth on vault and 10th on bars) and Alyssa Jarrett (12th on beam) all earned second-team all-FCIAC.
