Missing Links Project

Take a stroll down memory lane with Cindy Waters and The Missing Links Project on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 12:45 following the luncheon at Ogden House. This presentation of Missing Links streaming videos captures the most iconic moments from the 50s and 60s. You will laugh again at Lucy frantically stuffing chocolates in her mouth, get caught up in Batman-mania, feel the pride of JFK introducing the Peace Corps. Relive dozens of similar heartwarming memories, all brought back to life in 15 minutes. So sit back, relax, and reminisce about the wonders of the past. You are sure to feel groovy again! Research your past

Genealogy with Kevin Cleary on Friday, Jan.12, will help you find out more about your past. Find your ancestors, far-flung relatives, former classmates. Meet at 11 in the senior center lounge for this program and lunch, sponsored by Right at Home.

Call the senior center for reservations at 203-834-6240. Limited enrollment.

Right at Home provides care for people who do not need an institutional setting, but still need some assistance to live at home.

Updating driver skills

Register for one of AAA’s free Driving Improvement Programs on Tuesday, Jan. 16, Tuesday, Feb. 20, or Thursday, March 15. This program takes place at the Comstock Community Center, 8:30 to 12:30. It is taught by Lt. David Hartman of the Wilton Police Department.

This program is aimed at experienced drivers who wish to improve their driving skills and review defensive driving basics. By completing this class drivers 60 years of age and older may qualify for a discount on their auto insurance.

Tech Fridays

Wilton Continuing Education and the senior center present a Lunchtime Learning Series on various technical topics. Full descriptions and fees are available in the Wilton Continuing Education catalogue at wiltoncontinuinged.org.

The first in the series is iPHONE: Learn The Basics on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2, noon to 1:30  at the senior center. Learn the basic functions of your phone and discover how it can help manage your day-to-day life. Learn the apps that come preloaded, like FaceTime and others, and how to use the app store to add new ones.

Emergency and accessibility features will be demonstrated (911, increased font size, flashing light notification when calls are coming in, etc.). Manage your calendar, emails and texts; shop online; learn to download and listen to music and podcasts. Pack a light lunch and join us. Instructional bridge

Bridge classes take place at the senior center.

Open Bridge with Mike is a great way to refresh your bridge-playing skills, learn current conventions, and get used to playing all over again. For all levels of play. This is not a sanctioned game. Michael Hess will supervise. Wednesdays, 10 to noon, $5 drop-in fee.

Introduction to Bridge is for the player with very little or no experience. Fridays, beginning Jan. 19, 11:30 to 1:15, $75 for the eight-week series. Signup: 203-834-6240.
