Bryan Haeffele Air Force veteran Bing Ventres places an American flag at the grave of World War II Army veteran Fred Hunter Collis Sr. The flag on the right indicates Mr. Collis, who is buried at Hillside Cemetery, was a member of the American Legion. Hillside Cemetery will be the site of Wilton’s Memorial Day ceremony at the end of the parade on Monday, May 27.

Veterans invited to submit photos

The Memorial Day Celebration Committee is requesting local veterans submit their photos and service record to the Wilton Veterans Photo Archive.

This cyanotype, Japanese Painted Fern, by Pam Rouleau, will be among the works exhibited in A Celebration of Trees, opening April 22 at the G&B Cultural Center in Georgetown.
