Library concert draws a big crowd

A brief downpour did not dampen spirits of a standing-room-only crowd that turned out for the second installment of Wilton Library’s Summer Music and More concert.

Readership may be down, but Wilton Library’s book sales are popular and last weekend’s Sidewalk Book Sale has moved inside. In the cool comfort of air conditioning, shoppers may find bargains but they’ll have to move quickly. The sale continues in the gallery through Thursday night.

Library shifts emphasis from books to live programming

Readership is down. Book borrowing is off. But in other ways, business has never been better at public libraries, and Wilton is no exception.
