The Wilton Bulletin welcomes two new full-time staff members.

J.B. Cozens, previously assistant sports editor since 1996, is now sports editor. Tony Spinelli joins the newsroom as a reporter.

Cozens had also been sports editor for The Bulletin’s sister paper, The Lewisboro Ledger, since 1993. Prior to that, he was assistant editor of The Ledger, reporter for The  Bulletin, sports editor for The Ridgefield Press, and a reporter for The Redding Pilot. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and Ridgefield High School.

Cozens takes over for Tim Murphy, who is now devoting his full time to The Bulletin’s sister paper, The Ridgefield Press.

A veteran journalist, Spinelli comes to The Bulletin from The Ridgefield Press. Before working for The Press, he was a regular correspondent for the HAN Network newspapers.

He is a former staff writer of the Bridgeport Post-Telegram newspapers, Connecticut Post and the Valley Independent Sentinel, and also was a regular correspondent for AOL/Patch in Fairfield County. He has won many Society of Professional Journalists awards for his writing and reporting.

A native of Bridgeport, he attended the University of Bridgeport and Sacred Heart University and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is also a graduate of the former Interarts Academy, majoring in music.

Spinelli replaces reporter Hayden Turek, who moved to Texas.
