Kiwanis members Emily Humiston and Jeff Turner, flanking Wilton Social Services Director Cathy Pierce, spread the word about the Kiwanis Club’s 20th annual Citrus Sale.
A large quantity of fresh fruit will be donated to the Wilton food pantry and other agencies as a result of this fund-raiser. Pre-orders for grapefruit, oranges and tangerines are being taken until Feb. 20, and will arrive direct from the Florida grove on Friday, March 1.
A limited number of additional cases will be available for walk-in customers at ECS Transportation, 290 Danbury Road, across from Wilton High School.
Fruit kept in a cold garage or refrigerator will remain fresh for many months. Order at wiltonkiwanis.org.
