Needing to win at least three of its four remaining games in order to make the conference post-season, the Wilton High boys basketball team rallied to beat Danbury, 58-53, Thursday night on the road.
Wilton (10-7 overall, 8-7 FCIAC) is currently holding on to eighth and final FCIAC playoff spot with three games left to play.
On Thursday night, the Hatters led at the half, 24-22. Wilton took its first lead of the game with four minutes left in the contest and held on from there.
Eric Houska lit up the scoreboard for the Warriors with 25 points. Matt Shifrin added 11 points, Max Maudsley had nine, and Weston Wilbur finished with eight. Olandi LeGrand had 13 rebounds and Wilbur had 12 boards.
Danbury’s Dannyjoel Harris led all scorers with 26 points.
Wilton is back on the court Saturday at noon against Bassick, in a game that has been delayed over a week due to last Friday’s snowstorm.
