Luella Mae Peffers, 96

Luella Mae Peffers, age 96, formerly of Wilton, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2013 at Aurora Senior Living in Norwalk. Mrs. Peffers was born in Norwalk on October 12, 1916 and was a daughter to the late Harry and Anna L. Nash Ambler. She was predeceased by her husbands, the late Charles Peffers and James Vasale, and a sister Pauline Ambler Rink.

Mrs. Peffers was a graduate of Norwalk High School class of 1934. She was an office worker for both the Manhattan Shirt Co. and Manaro’s Restaurant. Luella volunteered in nursing homes and for the Special Olympics when she lived in Boynton Beach Florida. She enjoyed crafts, decorating and water color painting.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Vasale Allison of Forest Hill Gardens, N.Y.; Paula Vasale of Wilton; two nephews, Jack Rink of Portland, OR and Roger Rink of Redding; several great nieces and nephews.
