Wilton High School students Dominic Schefers, Jeremy Brewer, Philip Seper and Peter Jensen won first place on Feb. 2 in the regional Academic WorldQuest competition in Stamford, sponsored by the World Affairs Forum.

As this year’s winners — for the fourth year in a row — the Wilton students, together with their academic adviser, Terry Ragazzini, will travel to Washington, D.C. to take part in the World Affairs Councils of America’s National Academic WorldQuest on April 27.

Fourteen teams from Westchester and Fairfield County high schools competed in this regional competition.

Academy of Information Technology and Engineering in Stamford placed second and Darien High School placed third.

Academic World Quest has acknowledged the event’s lead sponsors, MasterCard Worldwide, the Arora Foundation and the Hageman Foundation.

The World Affairs Forum mission is to expand understanding of global affairs and America’s role in the world.
