Rotary Club awards area health-care program

Rotary support
The Rotary Club of Wilton recently awarded Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County a grant of $1,000 for the purchase of two PT/INR Monitoring Devices. This device enables a nurse to quickly determine the clotting ability of a homebound patient’s blood, thus allowing any needed changes in medication to be made in a timely manner. At the club’s weekly meeting are, from left, Rotary Grants Committee Chair Kathy Leeds, Rotary member and Visiting Nurse & Hospice IT Director Doug Macklem, and Rotary President Karen Strickland. The club is a community service organization that raises money for area charities fulfilling important human needs. Club information: Matt Castaldi at mwcastaldi@aol.com.
