Wilton gymnasts remain unbeaten

Wins over Nonnewaug and Pomperaug on Thursday pushed the Wilton High gymnastic team’s record to 9-0.

The Warriors scored 134.85, followed by Nonnewaug (130.7) and Pomperaug (113.95).

Annie Saltarelli led Wilton on bars (8.5) and beam (8.75), while Christina Brandt had the top score on vault (8.8) and Ashley Bascom led the way on floor (8.95).

Brandt finished with an all-around score of 33.7, followed Bascom (33.45) and Payton Piedmont (32.6).

Wilton scored 34.3 on vault, with scoring by Brandt (8.8), Sara Posson (8.65), Bascom (8.4) and Piedmont (8.45).

The fop four scores on bars (32.7) were Saltarelli (8.5), Bascom (8.2), Piedmont (8.1) and Morgan Leddy (7.9).

On beam (33.15), the Warriors were led by Saltarelli (8.75), Brandt (8.3), Leddy (8.2) and Bascom (7.9), while the top four on floor (34.7) were Bascom (8.95), Brandt (8.9), Saltarelli (8.5) and Piedmont (8.35).

Overall, Jenna Rinaldi of Nonnewaug had the top scores on vault (8.85) and floor (9.05).
