A Wilton man died after a car accident Dec. 23 that took place on Grumman Hill Road at about 8:30 a.m.
James Sorrentino, 75, of Spoonwood Road was driving eastbound before crashing into a tree off Grumman Hill Road, which caused his car to turn over. The cause of accident is unknown, although it is possible he suffered a heart attack before veering, according to the police report.
He was conscious and alert upon the arrival of emergency units, and was taken to Norwalk Hospital, police said.
Wilton police were notified shortly thereafter by the state medical examiner that Mr. Sorrentino had died.
